I am considered a "late bloomer" as I obtained my Bachelor's in history at the age of 50. Now that I have my Masters in History, I hope to work in higher education as an instructor. I am a wife, mom, grandmom with a large extended family currently living in Charlotte, North Carolina.
My specialty (and love!) is North Carolina history between the years of 1865 - 1945 which covers Reconstruction, life under segregation and how those events and decisions made in 1868 and 1875 still resound today as "custom and tradition" especially in the areas of death and funeral rituals.
