I teach History at the McDonogh School in suburban Baltimore (K-12, secular, boarding & day, 1300 students), and am chair of the History department. Currently I am teaching AP World History and AP US History (not my usual gig). I often teach senior electives; the latest have been Maritime History and AP European. I am active in the World History Association, and its MidAtlantic affiliate. My degrees are from Lawrence University (WI) and Johns Hopkins. I have worked pretty extensively all sorts of initiatives on the teaching and learning of World History over the last 15 years, including publications, conferences, and teaching workshops both nationally and internationally.
