Do you have an idea about how to expand the role of the humanities in undergraduate curriculum at 2- or 4-year institutions?

The National Endowment for the Humanities is seeking applicants for the Humanities Connection program that will create an integrated set of courses and student engagement activities.

Humanities Connections projects should have two core features:

    1. Faculty from at least two separate departments or schools at a single institution must collaborate to devise new curricular arrangements
    2. Projects must include provisions for high-impact student engagement activities that relate directly to the topic(s) of the linked courses.

Each project must be organized around a core topic or set of themes.

The American Historical Association is committed to supporting the work of history faculty to advance curriculum. As you prepare your grant proposal, we hope you’ll utilize the resources available to you as a member of the AHA:

If you have any questions about using AHA resources to support your NEH grant proposal, please reach out to Emily Swafford, Manager of Academic Affairs (eswafford@historians.org).

Find out full information on how to apply online.

The deadline is October 5, 2016.
