I'm the Associate Director of Clemson's Digital History Ph.D. Program. We have recently been developing a comprehensive exam for our student's digital field that blends practice and theory. We've also been thinking about Comprehensive Exams in the Age of AI and have drafted a AI Use policy. I'm thinking about suggesting a panel for AHA 27 in New Orleans on Rethinking Comprehensive Exams in the Age of AI. I'd want to see if we could get someone who has a portfolio model, someone who does orals, and someone who does written.
