In partnership with the Teaching Division of the American Historical Association, the College Board will be hosting a Symposium on Advanced Placement History as part of the AHA's Annual Meeting in Washington, DC, on the morning of Thursday, January 4. The Symposium will feature higher ed faculty from the three AP history courses (Juliana Barr, Duke University, U.S. History; Paul Deslandes, University of Vermont, European History; Rick Warner, Wabash College, World History). Panelists and attendees will discuss recent changes to AP History courses and exams, the future of the college-level history survey, and how participation in AP and initiatives such as the AHA's Tuning Project are affecting the history major.
