Hello everyone,
This year I am leading a cohort of 15- 20 teachers dedicated to the teaching and learning of World History. The experiences include 3 face-face workshops, 2 digital based events, and 2 field tests/classroom innovations.
VA World History standards for the 1500 - present survey course is Euro-centric with just 3 of the 15 standards dedicated to non-western societies (see attached). Part of the cohort's learning will include readings on broadening that perspective. I am considering excerpts from these books (below) and would appreciate any additional suggestions for videos, podcasts, and texts that do the same.
Thank you,
Craig
