Finding Hispanic-Latinx Primary Sources at the National Archives

The U.S. National Archives is pleased to provide greater access to our primary source holdings on Latinx history. The evolving Hispanic/Latinx Heritage webpage consists of digitized materials researchers can easily access online.

For the 100th Anniversary of World War I, we prepared two blog posts on the participation of Mexican Americans in the American Expeditionary Forces. They are available online:

    1. Towards a History of Mexican American Participation in World War I, Part I
    2. Towards a History of Mexican Americans in World War I, Part Two: Soldiers of the 360th Infantry Regiment, 90th Division in France, 1918-1919

As a part of the National Archives’ Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month activities, we are offering “Finding Hispanic-Latinx Primary Sources at the National Archives,” a professional development webinar for educators on Thursday, October 10, 2019, 7 p.m.-8 p.m. ET. This webinar is part of the National Archives' distance learning programs for educators. It will be led by Education and Public Programs staff from across the Archives. The purpose of this program is to assist educators who are interested in identifying and utilizing the National Archives' Latinx primary sources and classroom activities (flyer attached).
