    Hi Everyone,

I wanted to bring your attention to the new "College, Career, and Civic Life (C3) Framework for Social Studies"  that was just released by the National Council on Social Studies in collaboration with the AHA and 15 other social studies content organizations.  We hope that K-12 educators will find this useful.

Here's a link to the recent blog post by Elaine Carey, the Vice President of the AHA's Teaching Division, outlining the C3 Framework.

    Best,

    Dana

    Hi,

The C3 group has been active and is helping to frame the VA History Standards durign the revision process. VA DOE takes public comments untill March 10th here: http://www.doe.virginia.gov/testing/sol/standards_docs/history_socialscience/2015/index.shtml

Also, I recently blogged for them as well titled: Historical Knowledge, Being Able to Answer Why, and the Possibilities of Dimension 2 of the C3 Framework.
