Call for Submissions:  Curricular Change in History Departments
    Journal of American History
Textbooks and Teaching Section, March 2024

We invite contributions for the Journal of American History Textbook and Teaching section to be published March 2024. The section will explore purposes, processes, studies, and practices that History departments have undertaken to improve or overhaul their history curriculum. Especially welcome are essays that move beyond highlighting a description of department discussions and demonstrate how department-wide efforts and collaborations can point us toward improved teaching and systemic curricular changes that impact students and their learning. To encourage collaboration, we especially seek co-authored or collectively written essays and encourage departments to contact us as soon as possible to plan for gathering documentation over the 2022-23 year. We look forward to inquiries and ideas.
