    Dear Colleagues,

You are invited to join us at 3:30 p.m. Eastern next Wednesday, November 2 for a webinar to explore the listening session resources, created by the New American History team.

In the spring of 2022, the American Historical Association, the National Council for Social Studies, the John N. Gardner Institute for Experience in Undergraduate Education, and New American History hosted a series of listening sessions for K-12 educators and higher education faculty, an opportunity to listen to the concerns of educators who are on the front lines, teaching students history in an era of political controversy, misinformation, and "divisive concepts" legislation. Participants expressed a need to find inquiry-based learning resources and tools to foster reflective thinking using credible sources, without violating new state laws or local policies.

The webinar will be facilitated by Annie Evans, Director of Education & Outreach for the New American History Project, and will introduce the rich resources that were created to support history educators based on the listening session conversations.
