    Dear Colleagues,

I invite you all to join us on Tuesday, July 28 at 2:00PM ET for our upcoming webinar "From High School Social Studies to the College Survey: A Conversation with Teachers and Students," part of the AHA's ongoing Online Teaching Forum, supported by an NEH CARES Act award.

This webinar features a moderated discussion between a history faculty member and a high school social studies teacher, along with two students who survived the shift to online learning, followed by Q&A. This conversation will explore a number of questions: How can we help first-year history learners succeed in a year of uncertainty? What will learners need in intro courses that they would need in any year? What will they need this year, in particular? What teaching philosophies and strategies might best help a new student in an intro history course this year?

See the full description and registration info here. This webinar will run approximately 75 minutes.

We are also planning additional webinars: one on issues related to dual enrollment, another in conversation with the College Board about the teaching and evaluation of AP history, and one a few weeks on using the New American History online resource. Keep up to date on these events and resourcses form past events with the Online Teaching Forum's web page.

    Kind regards,
    Emily Swafford
