    Dear colleagues,
For those of you who will be joining us in Chicago, January 3-6, we have put together a guide to teaching and learning events and sessions at the annual meeting for your reference. You can look through the online program and find other useful guides on our website.

We also invite you to participate in the 2019 Undergraduate and K-12 Teaching Workshop: Assignments Charrette. We welcome assignments for all levels of history education. Anyone with a valued teaching assignment (to include traditional assignments, educational activities, or assessments) or a brand new one that would benefit from in-depth review and discussion with faculty from other institutions should consider applying. Assignments in which students engage with primary sources are particularly welcome. The charrette will be held on Friday, January 4 at 9:00 AM. Please feel free to contact me at mconnor@historians.org with any questions.

For those of you who will be in Chicago by Thursday morning, we hope you will attend the pre-meeting workshop Three Enduring Problems for History Teachers (And How to Manage Them) organized by the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in History.

    Best regards,
    Megan Connor
