AAC&U Survey on "Professional Development and Student Success"

  • 1.  AAC&U Survey on "Professional Development and Student Success"

    Posted 04-07-2016 03:36:00 PM

The Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) is currently conducting a survey of how faculty, staff, administrators, and others on post-secondary campuses are supported by professional development opportunities oriented toward student success. I thought many of you might be interested in contributing to this external survey based on your own experiences and opportunities.

The results of this survey should be broadly useful for the AHA in understanding the needs for professional development programming among historians, so it would be nice if we could have a strong representation among respondents. See the details from the AAC&U, below:

Feedback Requested on Professional Development and Student Success: An AAC&U Survey

AAC&U requests your participation in a survey through which we hope to gain a deep understanding of faculty participation in professional development activities in institutions, states, and state systems. This survey, part the LEAP Faculty Collaboratives project, seeks to create a detailed national picture of how campus practitioners are currently supported through workshops and other relevant activities for student success. We seek your perspectives on the questions such as the following: What does professional development in higher education look like today? Do workshops, campus resources, and access to information about national higher education initiatives serve your efforts for student success? Follow this link to participate in our survey, which should take about 10–15 minutes to complete. This survey does not request any identifying information and has been approved by the Institutional Review Board at Indiana University. We kindly request participation by May 1.
